Carey Template Company was founded by John Carey in 1986.
Before starting this company, John Carey owned and operated John
Carey Construction, which is now owned by his daughter Mary
Benson.
Working in
the field of construction, John realized there needed to be a
more simple process to hanging doors. The hinge templates
available at the time were large and difficult to store. When
John Carey turned his construction business over to his
daughter, he started working with different ides for hinge
templates.
John’s
vision was to create an easy to use system for hanging doors
for both the professional carpenter and remodeling homeowner.
Many designs and a few years later, he created an easy to use
template system which is compact and inexpensive.
Our business
is based in San Diego, California and has the feel of a
small business with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. We
manufacture and assemble all of our products, and we are always
available to answer any questions or concerns of our customers.
